It’s me! My name is Raluca M. Matara, but my friends call me Ralu. Feel free to do the same because I just know we’ll be friends.
I love creating my own worlds where anything is possible, and everything is at stake. My characters are always mistreated or traumatized in some way, but they always — and I mean always — get a happy ending. I’m not aiming for realistic here because real life is already… well, I don’t have to tell you how it is. You already know.
My love for fantasy started as soon as I learned how to read. The first fantasy book I remember reading, The Hobbit, changed my life. Tolkien fans can appreciate the feeling.
When I’m not writing or drawing, you can find me curled on my couch with my partner, watching our current TV series. Or maybe I’m out, sipping a coffee and watching the leaves change their colors. But if it’s hockey season, you’ll definitely find me at the ice rink, cheering my favorite team.
